Project narrative

In 2014, China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) provided an RMB 292.66 million grant to the Government of Laos for the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Office Project. The purpose of the project was to construct an office building — with a total construction area of 22,000 square meters — for the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRC) in the capital city of Vientiane. Beijing Architectural Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. was the contractor responsible for project design and Jiangsu Jiangdu Construction Group Co., Ltd. was the contractor responsible for project implementation. The project commenced on November 1, 2014 and it was completed on January 15, 2016. The project passed a final MOFCOM inspection on March 1, 2016. Then, a formal project handover ceremony took place on March 21, 2016.
