Project narrative

Based on the news release from the Embassy of China in Myanmar, on September 13, 2013, Ambassador Yang Houlan and his wife Ruan Wei went to the second primary school in Yangjing District, Yangon to inspect the teaching building renovation project, which was funded by the Embassy. The Embassy also donated a batch of computer, printer teaching equipment and books to the school and students, School bags and other cultural and sports supplies. The total cost of the renovation and the donation was 15000 USD. The elementary school was donated by the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar in 2001 and provides compulsory education to more than 100 students in 6 grades in the township (linked to Record ID#34128).
