Project narrative

Based on the news release from the Embassy of China in Myanmar, on May 27, 2017, the opening ceremony of the Thapyaygone Market in Naypyidaw took place. The Embassy funded the renovation, and the Art Wave Group is the contractor. The project is referred to as 内比都德比宫农贸市场 in Chinese. According to Xinhua Net, the project costs the Embassy about Kyat 1 billion. The transformed Thapyaygone Market occupies an area of 12,000 square meters, of which the newly built area is more than 8,000 square meters. There are 480 stalls now, benefiting more than 300,000 residents around the market.
