Chinese Embassy donates disaster relief aid after Hurricane Donna to Vanuatu

Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On July 4th, 2017, a handover ceremony was held for the donation of disaster relief aid, after Hurricane Donna hit the northern part of the country (or 向瓦政府提供多娜飓风救灾物资). At the request of the government of Vanuatu, the Chinese embassy in the country purchased a certain amount of production materials to support the government and people in the post-disaster reconstruction work ("驻瓦努阿图使馆向瓦政府提供多娜飓风救灾物资").The value and contents of the donation are unknown. In May 2017, Hurricane Donna hit many parts of northern Vanuatu, which caused damage to local houses and severely affected people's lives.
