Project narrative

According to the news releases from the Embassy of China in Myanmar and the Ministry of Information of Myanmar, on February 27, 2019, the Chinese government donated 20 Sinotruck Howo trucks to the Myanmar Committee on Repatriation and Resettlement of Displaced People. The handover ceremony was held at the National Centre for Reconciliation and Peace in Naypyidaw. The trucks will help the Myanmar government to transport displaced people from Rakhine State who have returned to Myanmar as part of the resettlement and repatriation process. According to the news release from Yunnan Gateway, previously, in December 2018, the Myanmar Government expressed its need for these 20 trucks.
