Project narrative

Based on the information from Hanban.org, the Confucious Classroom at Eastern Language and Business Center (or 东方语言与商业中心孔子课堂) was established on November 25, 2013. Based on the news release from the Embassy of China in Myanmar, the Confucious Classroom was organized by the Oriental Language and Business Center and Yunnan Normal University. According to the ASEANECON.com, the Eastern Language and Business Center was established in 2002 by eight overseas Chinese groups, including the Fujian Fujian Association, the Myanmar Chinese Chamber of Commerce, the Guangdong Guangdong Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Myanmar Yunnan Association, the Myanmar-China Women's Association, the Nanyang Middle School Alumni Association, and the Overseas Chinese Middle School Alumni Association. Now it has 800 students, 65 faculty and staff, with a series of Chinese courses from kindergarten, elementary school to high school.
