Description
In 2013, the Chinese Government provided a grant to the Government of Guinea for the Presidential Palace Maintenance and Reconstruction Project. The monetary value of this grant commitment is unknown. This project involved renovations to the existing presidential palace (known as Palais Sékouturéa or Palais Présidentiel Sékhoutouréya) and the construction of a new administrative office building in a 1,143 square meter area. Shanghai Construction Group was the contractor responsible for implementation. Construction began on May 18, 2013 and ended in April 2014. During the 1990s, the Chinese Government financed the construction of the presidential palace. The contractor responsible for the construction of the palace was Gansu Construction Engineering Group. In 2015, China carried out the People’s Palace and Presidential Palace Technical Cooperation Project (see project #73894).
