Project narrative

In February 25-29, 2016, the ambassador Kuiwu Ning participated in the opening ceremony of building water wells for the citizens of Northern Thailand against the drought, according to the news release from the Embassy of China in Thailand. According to the same news release, Thailand was suffering from severe droughts this year and water use in some areas was relatively tight. The Chinese Embassy assisted the building of wells in several Northern provinces. Ambassador Ning came to Saraphi village to attend the well drilling ceremony. Local government officials said that the well will provide the villagers with the necessary domestic water to effectively alleviate the drought.
