Project narrative

On August 16, 2004, the Chinese Government granted $1.5 million USD to the Government of Bolivia for the 4.3 km Buenos Aires Avenue Asphalting Project. This project involved the paving of Buenos Aires Avenue. The paved portion of the Buenos Aires Avenue in La Paz stretches from Abaroa Bridge to Ramiro Castillo Square, Inca Llojeta area, for a total length of 4.3 kilometers. Guangdong Overseas Construction Group, Henan Transportation Planning Survey and Design Institute, and Xinjiang Chenghui Engineering Management Co., Ltd were the contractors responsible for project implementation. The project was expected to begin construction in May 2007. This project was completed on August 22, 2009.
