Project narrative

On December 10, 2004, the Chinese government agreed to send a team of eight experts to Tonga to inspect its Fua'amotu international airport renovation project. The airport was being renovated to meet the requirements of Boeing 747 aircraft. From April 15th to 29th, 2005, China Civil Aviation Airport Construction Corporation was commissioned to send a team of eight experts to Tonga Fua'amotu International Airport to conduct a site inspection. On September 19th, 2005, the technical consultation report was completed and sent to Mr. Mapa Falataou, Secretary General of the Ministry of Civil Aviation of Tonga.
