Description

On May 31, 2005, Sinohydro Corporation of China signed the Memorandum of Understanding for the Construction of Nanwu 8 Power Station with the Lao Government. The project is located in the northern province of Funchal. The designed installed capacity of the power station is 640,000 kilowatts. It is invested and constructed in the BOT manner, and the total cost of the project is 700 million US dollars.

There is no updates of the project in any later resources, only Nam ou 1-7 were constructed. Likely that it never went into implementation stage.
