On September 13, 2017, the Chinese government turned over a P65-million donation to the Philippines for troops wounded in ongoing offensives against terrorists in Marawi City. Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Zhao Jianhua handed over the latest assistance to President Rodrigo Duterte in Malacañang.
