Project narrative

On Mar 18th, 2011, Chinese Ministry of Health and the Lao Ministry of Health signed the Memorandum of Understanding on donations AIDS screening laboratory (or 中国卫生部与老挝卫生部关于捐赠艾滋病初筛实验室). The laboratory is set up in Luang Namtha Province, Laos. As part of the joint HIV/AIDS prevention and control project in the China-Laos border area, the laboratory will enhance the AIDS screening and disease prevention and control capabilities in the Laos border area, promote health cooperation in the China-Laos border area, and provide economic development for the border areas between the two countries. Create a safe and healthy environment with people's lives.
