Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

Since 2012, the Chinese government has supported bilateral human resources training for Yemeni workers selected to take university courses in China. According to the Chinese embassy, 78 courses were taught to 185 trainees as of December 27, 2012. The training courses covered over twenty different subjects, including politics, trade, diplomacy, and security. On March 27, 2013, the Chinese government signed an agreement with the Ministry of International Cooperation in Yemen to continue providing human resources training to Yemeni professional and technical workers. The Arabic language Embassy of China source mentions the intention to continue this project into 2013, indicating that the 2013 agreement is part of the same project.
