Project narrative

From Nov 6 to Nov 17, 2017, China's National Health and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC) sent a 14-personnel medical team to provide free eyecare services to people in Laos and conducted 304 cataract surgeries. The event was led by the National Health and Family Planning Commision of China, coordinated by the Yunnan Provincial Health and Family Planning Commission and the Provincial Friendship Association. The medical team consists of nine doctors from Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH) in Beijing and five nurses from First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University in Yunnan.
