Project narrative

On 3 July 2017, the opening ceremony took place in Abidjan for a seminar on rice cultivation technology (Seminaire 2017 sur les Techniques de la Culture du Riz or 水稻技术培训班). The training course was sponsored by the Chinese Government, co-run by China's Foreign Economic Cooperation Center under the Ministry of Agriculture and Cote d'Ivoire's National Rice Development Office under the Ministry of Agriculture, and it was taught by various Chinese experts. The value of this training is unknown. The 30 Ivorian students received completion certificates on 28 July 2017. China conducted this course in 2016 (#65981) 2018 (#66010), and 2019 (#71215).
