Description

On March 24, 2018, China donated container scanning equipment to the Government of Cote d'Ivoire for use in Noé, a border town next to Ghana. The Chinese Government granted an unknown amount of funds to hire Tongfang Weishi Technology Co. (NUCTECH) to manufacture this technology, including a mobile X-ray inspection system. The purpose of this donation is to assist Ivorian law enforcement and inspect cargo crossing the border from Ghana. On August 9, 2018, a second batch of the same equipment was donated to Ouangolodougou, a border town next to Burkina Faso (project #66003).
