Chinese Government provides RMB 74.9 million grant for Minsk Central District Hospital Inpatient Department Construction Project

Project narrative

On December 19, 2016, the Chinese Government and the Government of Belarus signed an RMB 74.9 million grant agreement for the Minsk Central District Hospital Inpatient Department Construction Project. China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) was the source of funding. The purpose of the project was to construct an inpatient department at the Minsk Central District Hospital in the town of Borovlyany. The hospital was built on 0.5 hectares. It has 4 floors and 170 beds. China Urban Construction Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd was the contract responsible for project design and supervision. China Railway 25th Bureau Group Co Ltd. was the contractor responsible for project implementation. It signed a construction contract with the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee on December 19, 2016. Construction began on January 31, 2017 and ended on June 25, 2018. The building was commissioned in September 2018 and began taking patients that same month.
