Project narrative

On August 30, 2007, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Liu Jianchao announced that the Chinese government will provide humanitarian assistance to North Korea that has suffered from floods. After continuous heavy rains caused severe flooding in North Korea in early August, 2007, China donated medicine and medical equipments in two batches for emergent flood relief. The delivery of both batches of supplies are said to be completed by 27 September, 2007.
