Description

On June 30, 2018, the Embassy of China in Malaysia donated RMB 1 million to establish "Youth Exchange Fund for Malaysia-China Friendship" (or 中马-马中友好青年交流基金 or Persatuan Persahabatan Malaysia-China). The Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia, Bai Tian, signed a cooperation agreement with the Malaysian Chinese Friendship Association President Majid in Kuala Lumpur during the day to jointly establish the program to promote youth exchanges and cooperation between the two countries. The fund is going to support the internship/training, academic workshop, and exchange visits for students. With the support of the fund, dozens of youth groups have visited China, which has established an effective platform for the exchange and cooperation between the youth of the two countries. On July 23, 2019, the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia donated another RMB 100 million to the fund (captured in Project ID#86967). With the donation, more Malaysian students will be able to visit China.
