Project narrative

In 2017, the Zhejiang Chinese Medical University and the Vasile Goldiș Western University of Arad (Romanian: Universitatea de Vest ""Vasile Goldiș"") jointly established the China-Romania Traditional Chinese Medicine Center. On January 8, 2019, the Center passed inspection. It was officially opened on December 10, 2019. President of Arad County Committee Iustin Coinca, deputy mayor of Arad City Eng. Calin Bibart, president of Arad Doctors’ Association Dinu Zaharia, director of Health Department Jr. Constantin Catana, counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Romania Zhang Jian, secretary of CCP ZCMU committee Sun Qiuhua and other officials attended the opening ceremony. The China-Romania Traditional Chinese Medicine Center is the first traditional Chinese medicine center supported by the Chinese Government in Romania. Zhejiang Chinese Medical University donated medical equipment and dispatched doctors to work in the center. The purpose of the China-Romania Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Center, which is located with the Arad County Hospital in the city of Arad, will seek to provide local people with high-quality TCM medical treatment, TCM rehabilitation, and health care services. It will also undertake scientific research and cultural promotion activities.
