On January 17, 2018, the 19th Chinese medical team donated an assortment of medical instruments valued at $120,000 USD to the four hospitals they served in (Levy Mwanawasa Hospital, University of Zambia Teaching Hospital, Ndola General Hospital, and Livingstone Central Hospital). Levy Mwanawasa Teaching Hospital received the majority of the equipment, with a cost equal to $84,000 USD. The ceremony took place in Lusaka, and representatives from the medical team and the Chinese Embassy in Zambia were present.
