On April 14, 2016, the Confucius Institute at Veliko Turnovo University opened its second Confucius Classroom at 'Vasil Levski' High School [School СОУ "Васил Левски”] in the city of Ruse. 'Vasil Levski' High School is the second-largest school in Bulgaria with incorporated Chinese studies.
