Description

In October 2017, China Development Bank agreed at least in principle to lend RMB 3.3 billion to VEB-Leasing for expansion of their rail car leasing portfolio to facilitate cargo shipping between Russia and China. The loan was part of a RMB 10 billion credit line established between CDB and VEB in 2015 (captured via Project ID#66602)

Additional details

1. Reports refer to a "draft plan" for financing the railcar lease portfolio, so it seems likely that a financial commitment has not yet been made. The status has therefore been coded as Pledge.
