Project narrative

On December 5, 2014, the Chinese Government and the Government of Ukraine signed letters of exchange, which committed RMB 90 million of grant funding for the provision of 23,500 computers to more than 2,400 secondary schools in Ukraine. The grant proceeds were drawn from two Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreements (ETCAs) that the two government signed on January 25, 2013 and October 10, 2013 (Record ID#42570). The recipient of the grant was the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. On December 23, 2016, the Chinese Government oversaw the delivery of the new computers to more than 2,400 schools in Ukraine. By January 11, 2017, the Chinese Government had delivered over 23,500 computers. 747 computers were supplied to schools in the Ternopil oblast. 633 were delivered to the schools in the Sumy oblast. 964 computers were supplied to 76 schools in Zaporizhzhia or (Zaporozhia) oblast.
