Project narrative

On June 22, 2017, the Chinese and Montenegrin governments signed a donation agreement in which China agreed to provide €112,700 EUR of non-refundable money for the renovation and reconstruction of gyms and school sports fields of two primary and two secondary schools in Montenegro. Elementary School "Ristan Pavlović" in Pljevlja, was to receive €23,194.38 EUR for the renovation of its gym, which was to include the replacement of the existing dilapidated parquet and the substructure. €11,987.22 EUR was allocated for the rehabilitation of the Cetinje Gymnasium, used by the students of High School of Fine Arts "Petar Lubarda." The project included a renovation of the parquet, a paint job for the hall and locker rooms, and a solution to the gym's lighting and heating problems. The largest section of the project, the Gymnasium of the Kotor Secondary Maritime School (also known as the Kotor Maritime Middle School), was to receive €55,535.57 EUR, and included the procurement of materials, the removal of concrete, the installation of an elastic sports floor and rubber base on the stands, and the reconstruction of walls, roof and locker rooms. €21,982.83 EUR was allocated for the renovation of the sports field Elementary School "Narodni heroj Savo Ilić" in Kotor. The dilapidated concrete surface had injured many students, which the project sought to address with a new tartan base, in addition to a wire fence and two handball goals. The entire project was scheduled to be finished within four months. The completion ceremony for the renovation of the Kotor Secondary Maritime School gymnasium was held on November 14, 2017. It appears that this project was complete by July 2019, as the project was described as having left a mark on Kotor.

One Chinese project title is 中小学体育馆项目都. Another, more specific Chinese project title for the Kotor Secondary Maritime School's gymnasium is 中黑合作科托尔海事中学体育馆修复项. Still another Chinese project title is 校园体育巩固项目.
