Description
On March 11, 2013, in an exchange of letters with the Montenegrin Government, China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) made an EUR 3.6 million grant commitment to the Solar Street Light Project. This project sought to add solar photovoltaic PV modules to the top of light posts in the municipalities of Cetinje and Kotor. The project was built off of existing infrastructure, and provided significant savings in power consumption. The project's implementation began in May 2015, and it was completed in January 2016. It was subsequently underwent a MOFCOM inspection in April 2016. The signing of the handover certificate was held July 26, 2016, and the Chinese side agreed to guarantee the project's implementation for the next two years

The Chinese project title is 缮的太阳能路灯项目 or 黑山太阳能照明技术合作项目. The Montenegrin project title is Пројекта соларне расвјете у Пријестоници Цетиње и општини Котор.
