Project narrative

On March 18, 2008, Hanban agreed to create the Confucius Institute at Bogazici University (also known as Bosphorus University) in the city of Istanbul to foster the cultural connection between China and Turkey. It is a joint enterprise of Boğaziçi University and Shanghai University. On December 10, 2008, the opening ceremony for the Confucius Institute at Boğaziçi University was held. The monetary value of the financial commitment that supported this project is unknown.
