Project narrative

According to a dataset of foreign-financed projects that Syria’s State Planning Commission (SPC) provided to UNDP Syria in May 2011, the Chinese Government provided a $500,000 grant to the Government of Syria’s Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform in January 2006 to combat and control H5N1 (avian influenza). This project was reportedly completed on December 31, 2006.
