Full Description

Project narrative

On 14 April 2020, Ambassador Huang Zhen, on behalf of the People's Republic of China, handed over a cash donation of 100,000 USD to the Government of Micronesia to help combat the COVID-19 pandemic. The donation was received by Micronesia's Department of Health and Social Affairs, and the COVID-19 task force. According to the Embassy of China in Micronesia, the cash donation is under the Sino-Pacific Islands Combating COVID-19 Cooperation Funds (中国—太平洋岛国抗疫合作基金). This 100,000 USD cash donation is the first wave of assistance in a larger contribution from China to combat COVID-19. The other part of the first wave is the 150,000 USD worth of medical supplies captured by Record ID#92832. The second wave of assistance is captured in Record ID#92833.
