Description
On March 19, 2020, the Chinese Embassy in Benin held a handover ceremony to donate 1500 new coronavirus testing kits to the Benin Ministry of Health. This was done with assistance from the Shenzhen Mammoth Public Welfare Foundation, the BGI group (a private company which produces the test kits), and the Chinese Enterprise Association in Benin. The value of the donated materials is not clear. Haruna de Kingaré, the WHO representative in Benin, and Claude Kamenga, the UNICEF Representative in Benin, were both in attendance at the handover ceremony.
