On October 25, 2018, Yunnan Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries donated medical equipment worth MMK 45 million (roughly USD 29,000) to Sitagu Shwe Pyi Hein Eye Hospital in Yangon, Myanmar. The specific equipment donated are unknown. The donation of equipment was given alongside an MMK 8 million grant, which is captured in Record ID #86574. Additionally, on the same day, a medical team from Kunming Medical University, with sponsorship from Yunnan Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, provided free cataract surgeries for patients in Myanmar as part of the Bright Journey Campaign (captured in Record ID #64226)
