Project narrative

In 2005 the Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB) received 1.45 billion BDK of supplier's credit from China National Electric Wire & Cable Import & Export Corporation for the Bogra-Barapukuria 230 KV Transmission Line Project. The Government of Bangladesh provided a sovereign guarantee for this supplier's credit on April 28, 2005. China National Electric Wire and Cable Import and Export Corporation (CNEWC) will be implementing the project (Contract No. PGCB/SC/011). The project began in 2003 and was finished in November 2005.
