Description

On April 25, 2018, the provision of scholarships for 25 Argentinian students to study in China starting in the 2018/2019 school year was announced. An additional 15 scholarships were provided by Argentina's Ministry of Education. Of the scholarships awarded, four were for a masters degree (2-3 year programs, 2-4 years of scholarship funding), three were for undergraduate studies (2-5 year programs, 2-6 years of scholarship funding), and 18 were for one-year Chinese language study programs. China Scholarship Council is in charge of medical insurance, registration costs, tutorials, study material, accommodation on a university campus, and monthly maintenance aid for the initial installation. Argentina's Ministry of Education aids in air travel education. The value of each scholarship is unknown. The scholarships will be awarded as a result of a Memorandum of Understanding on education signed by the Ministries of Education of China and Argentina in May 2017. The scholarship program is carried out by the China Scholarship Council and the Chinese Embassy in Argentina on behalf of the Chinese Ministry of Education, in collaboration by Argentina's Ministry of Education.
