Description

On December 9, 2019, the Chinese Ambassador to Grenada and the Grenada Minister of Youth Development, Sports, Culture, and Art signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement for the renovation of the Grenada National Cricket Stadium, among other projects (see project #69302). The cost of this project is estimated to be around XCD 30 million (out of the XCD 38.4 million provided by the ETCA). The renovation will focus on the general needs of the facility, including audio systems, the fire system, and the roof. This process also included bilateral training for stadium staff. In 2005, the Chinese Government provided a grant for $47.5 million to rebuild the Grenada National Cricket Stadium (as captured via Project ID#63703). The two governments signed an exchange of letters on the project on October 9, 2011.
