Description
On July 23, 2018, the Chinese Government and the Government of Rwanda signed the Agreement of the Cultural and Science Cooperation. This agreement was signed during President Xi Jinping's visit to Rwanda, along with multiple other agreements to promote the Belt and Road Initiative. On January 15, 2019, the Chinese Ambassador to Rwanda, Rao Hongwei, met with Rwanda's Minister of Sports and Culture, Esperance Nyirasafari, and discussed how China is ready to promote the Implementation Program for the Year 2018 to 2020 under the Agreement of the Cultural and Science Cooperation Between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of Rwanda. It is unknown what the terms of the agreement are.
