Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On March 1, 2018, the Chinese Ambassador to Rwanda, Rao Hongwei, donated laptops, desktop computers, printers, projectors, and Chinese cultural books and DVDs to Green Hills Academy (青山学校). The supplies will be used for establishing a "Chinese Corner" in the school. This donation followed a meeting with the Deputy Head of Green Hills Academy, Carl Hobert. Green Hills Academy is a private middle school founded by First Lady Jeannette Kagame, and is the only private middle school in the country that teaches Chinese classes. The monetary value of the donation is unknown.
