Project narrative

On August 27th, 2019, the Chinese Embassy in Kenya organized a farewell ceremony for 182 Kenyan students who received Chinese Government Scholarships to pursue bachelors, masters, and doctorate degrees in China for two to three years. At the farewell ceremony were over 200 attendees including representatives from the Chinese Embassy in Kenya (Ambassador Wu Peng, Minister-Counsellor Zhao Xiyuan, Counsellor Wang Xuezheng), representatives from the Kenyan Government including the Kenyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ministry of Education, and representatives from universities, scholarship winners, and their selected guests. The 50 recipients of the Chinese Ambassador's scholarship were also celebrated at the ceremony (see Record ID#88619).
