Project narrative

On 15 January 2003, the governments of Cuba and China signed an agreement for Economic and Technical Cooperation, under which China will provide a $6 million USD grant for the improvement of Cuba's education sector. Chinese Foreign Trade Minister Shi Guangsheng and Cuban Interior Minister Ricardo Cabrisas signed the agreement at the end of a joint economic and commercial session between the two countries. The agreement will further strengthen bilateral ties.
