Project narrative

On 5 November, 2001, President of the Chinese parliament, Li Pen, whose visit coincided with the passing of Hurricane Michelle, announced that as a gesture of solidarity he will donate $604,000 USD to Cuba as emergency foreign aid. The donation consists of $120,000 USD in cash and the rest in material resources.
