Description

On 28 July 2005, Chinese Ambassador to Afghanistan Liu Jian and Afghan Public Health Minister Mohammad Amin Fatimi signed agreement for the construction for the new Jamhuriat Hospital Office Building Construction Project. The project includes the construction of a temporary office building and some additional board rooms. This project was completed on March 30, 2006. The hand-over ceremony, as well as the opening ceremony of the construction of the temporary medical house was held on March 30, 2006 in Afghan capital Kabul. The construction of the office building at the Jamhuriat Hospital is a medical building that would provide the place for treatment before the construction of the main medical building.

Additional details

The temporary medical building is separate from Chinese Government grant-financed medical building at the Jamhuriat Hospital. Therefore, the project is different from Project ID# 34502 which captured the Jamhuriat Hospital Renovation Project.
