The fifth phase of the Cricket Stadium Technical Cooperation Project was planned to start on September 1, 2018. The China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation will undertake the project. On April 19, 2018, Chinese Ambassador Wang Xianmin and Daryll Matthew, the Antigua and Barbuda Minister of Sports, Culture, National Festivals and the Arts, signed the fifth phase of the Technical Assistance Feasibility Study for the Antigua and Barbuda Cricket Ground
