Narrative

Project narrative

In September 2010, the Chinese Embassy in Costa Rica decided to grant the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship of Costa Rica a minibus to facilitate ministry operations. On April 4, 2011, the handover ceremony took place for the bus.

Staff comments

Project may be associated with 70750, which was another minibus grant requested by the Costa Rican government, and which the Chinese government declined around the same time as this project. However, because this bus (in 70750) has clear evidence of rejection from an official source, and because it was to be donated for a different purpose/recipient agency (Ministry of Public Education/transport of students at the Colegio de Aguas Zarcas, as opposed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship in this project), it is not considered a duplicate and the information from this project (particularly the transaction amount) has not been transferred over.
