Project narrative

On November 15, 2017, the Chinese Association of Guyana held a handover ceremony to commemorate the establishment of Huaxing Library of Guyana and to grant a donation of books. Chinese Ambassador to Guyana Zhang Limin, the Executive Committee of the Chinese Association, teachers and students of a Chinese school in Guyana were in attendance. The Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, an administrative office previously under the state government of China, provided the donation.

Huaxing Library of Guyana's Chinese name is 圭亚那华星书屋. It appears that this was not a library, but a bookstore.
