Full Description

Project narrative

On March 11, 2014, the Chinese Government and the Government of Uzbekistan signed an agreement to grant $20 million USD to Uzbekistan for the acquisition of 20 dredgers and 2 towing boats. The purpose of this project was to improve the irrigation system and to increase water availability and productivity of land in Uzbekistan. In total, 20 dredgers and 2 towing boats were delivered to Uzbekistan under this project. Project implementation facilities are located in Karakalpakstan, Khorezm, Bukhara and Kashkadarya regions. This project was completed on October 10, 2018.
