Project narrative

On September 28, 2016, a ceremony was held for the Chinese Embassy donation of schoolbags, stationary, and other school supplies to hundreds of local elementary school students in the Saramacca district. Ambassador Zhang Jinxiong and Suriname First Lady Ingrid Bouterse were present at the ceremony. This is the second of two donations of school supplies made by the Chinese embassy in September 2016 - the other is recorded in project 70705.
