Project narrative

On September 20, 2016, a donation ceremony was held for the Chinese Embassy donation of schoolbags, stationary, and other school supplies to 100 local elementary school students in the Paramaribo capital region. Ambassador Zhang Jinxiong and Suriname First Lady Ingrid Bouterse were present at the ceremony. At the ceremony, students performed small programs such as poetry recitation and children’s songs. The donation was the first of two donations of school supplies made in September 2016 - the second is recorded in Record ID#70703.
