Description

On December 1, 2010, the Chinese Government donated 161 buses to the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic. The value of the donated buses is unknown. The buses were intended to alleviate a shortage of vehicles in Osh and Bishkek, increase the economic development of Kyrgyzstan, and improve transit for the Kyrgyz people. The most of the buses were intended to be used by the Bishkek city government, while a few others would be sent to the city of Osh. The agreement for the buses was made "not long ago" before late October 2010, and followed up on the Chinese Government's donation of buses in 2009 (captured by linked project ID#70964).
