Description

In July 2017, the Chinese Government pledged to provide 3 million euros (roughly $3.5 million) in funding to the Government of São Tomé & Príncipe to support the country’s education and health, employment, social affairs, youth, and sports. In education, the Chinese Government announced that it would provide scholarships to Sao Tome and Principe; in health, it funds would be used to purchase medicines, consumables and other technical assistance to combat malaria; in sports, it would support the changing rooms and locker rooms of a multifunctional sports hall.
