Project narrative

On August 5 2019, the opening ceremony took place in Abidjan for a seminar on rice cultivation technology (Seminaire 2019 sur les Techniques de la Culture du Riz or 水稻技术培训班). The 45-day-long training course was sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, co-run by China's Foreign Economic Cooperation Center under their Ministry of Agriculture and Cote d'Ivoire's National Rice Development Office under their Ministry of Agriculture, and taught by various Chinese experts. About 120 Ivorians active in the agricultural industry participated in the training. China conducted this course in 2018 (#66010), 2017 (Record ID#65997), and 2016 (Record ID#65981).
